Hello, I'm Agnes Somogyi
I help sewists overcome the fear of pattern making and start to create their own sewing patterns effectively and with confidence
I’m a textile designer, pattern maker, and busy mom who designs fabric, makes apparel patterns for brands, and teaches pattern making for sewists. I firmly believe that by learning the basics of pattern making and properly using the latest tools available, anyone can easily create their own well-fitting and unique bespoke models on their own.

My Mission
I believe that anyone without prior studies in pattern drafting can learn to make their own patterns and my mission is to prove it to you.
Pattern making doesn't have to be scary
Pattern making is not the privilege of professionals
If you do more pattern hacks than strictly follow the instructions of the patterns you buy, you better start spending your time creating rather than altering.
Pattern makers don't make patterns from scratch.
They have a bunch of basic patterns that work well to transform them to the style they need. Why don’t you do the same thing?
Pattern making is not an exact science.
It’s all about practice and trial and error. Each new fabric and style is a new challenge, so even experienced pattern makers often make several versions before reaching the final prototype. Be patient with yourself, keep learning and practicing and you’ll get there.
